I grew up in a family where I heard music all my life. My father played trumpet, trombone, cornet and loved to sing with his beautiful tenor voice as my mother accompanied him on piano. He sang & played in church and in the community. At a young age, he had me learn to play the saxophone, which I played in school and community bands. My parents also discovered that I had a natural gift of singing and at great sacrifice to them while living in Southern California, had me take vocal and acting classes from Mr. & Mrs. Peter Lance who groomed performers for Television-Music and Theater work. While in high school, my choir director also found an opportunity for me to try out for a semi-professional group called "The Young Americans" I was accepted into the group. While with them I was part of the movie entitled "The Young Americans." I took part with the group in two albums produced by Anita Kerr entitled "The Wonderful World Of The Young" & "While We're Young." I also performed with the group on two television specials which were "The Hollywood Palace Show" and "The 1965 Academy Awards Show" which featured the award winning song of the year entitled "Born Free." Upon leaving "The Young Americans" I was pursuing a solo career with the brother of singer "Frankie Laine" as my manager. At the same time I was pursuing television commercial work as well as theater work. During this time I had the privilege of meeting many movie & music personalities. The Lord had a different plan for my life however. After a long interim of not being a part of this world He gave me a nudge to start singing again. He gently had me get back in church choirs, praise groups & solo work for Women's Ministry, Christian organizations as well as the family of God. He has given me opportunities to sing His praises in many places including the International Mission Field. I currently and joyfully sing for my Lord as He leads. Which brings me to this point in time. A dear sister in Christ came to me and gave me another nudge from the Lord and said why didn't I prayerfully consider putting together a Christian CD? So at this point in time here I am trusting the Lord that He will reach whoever He wants to hear His message thru this musical gift to each of you who He looked thru time and saw. May Jesus speak to you and touch you in a life changing way. In closing...
"What finally matters is that our hearts become like quiet cells where God can dwell, wherever we go and whatever we do." ~ Henri Nouwen.
"Sing to the Lord a new song...." ~ Psalm 33:3
